It is found in red fruits such as watermelon, guava and pink grapefruit and gives the rich red colour to tomatoes. In humans, it is one of the most abundant carotenoids utilized in blood serum and body tissue and is a more potent antioxidant than other major dietary carotenoids.

What are Lycopene tablets for?
Lycopene is described as a powerful antioxidant, as it helps prevent free radical damage that can lead to many types of diseases. The antioxidant activity of Lycopene is at least twice as great as beta carotene, another carotenoid that is also thought to be an effective cancer-preventing nutrient. Lycopene is considered one of the more effective antioxidants because it is not converted to vitamin A after it is eaten which is good. As a conversion to vitamin A weakens its antioxidant properties.

Nutritional: Pure Lycopene 5mg. On average 5mg of Pure Lycopene powder is dervied from one pound of red-ripened tomato skins. Free from Artificial colour, preservatives and flavouring. Free from yeast, gluten, wheat and dairy products. No added sugar or salt.

Directions: Adults and children over 6 years of age, one to two capsules daily preferably in the morning with breakfast or as advised by a suitably qualified person.
